Receive news that Apple 10.5.7 already out and soon I downloaded the update, after the download completed just clicked the updater and restarted my wind. The boot process really take a long time to completed, after reach the desktop the screen resolution switch back to 800 x 600 then I decided to install my existing vga driver, but after computer restart the boot process always fail to reach the desktop, but fortunatelly can reach the desktop if I boot with safe mode (-x)

Soon I browse the msiwind.net forum and finally found the driver pack from cybergreg, then I booted into safe mode (-x), install the driver pack from the safe mode, restarted and voila my wind completely update to 10.5.7. Thanks to cybergreg.

Apple has launching a new iMac 24″ and the 24″ iMac using graphics card from NVIDIA nowadays. The new RAM standard attached to the new iMac is 4 GB and it’s DDR 3 RAM. Hardisk standard is 640 GB. Using the new standard, I believe we can browse iPhoto Library much more smoother than my Wind :) . 24″ LCD screen uses 1920 x 1200 screen resolution, wow if I’m using a digital recording software, it can show me more of mixer channel and same condition on using spreadsheet application, it can show me much more coloums :) . It can use discreet graphics card too.

The price starting from $1499 for 24″ iMac and we can get iSight, OS X with iLife09 and Wireless n technology … could be still long time to come for me to have my first apple hardware :( .

I really like the feature calls VMDK Mounter from VMWare 2.0.1. It’s safes my data. I installed WinXP using VMWare. Yesterday the OS got trouble, everytime Windows startup and reach the desktop it was suddenly shut down. I didn’t backup my data yet, I thinking to run an linux iso to safes my data, but everytime I press F8 or F12 it was’t change the boot order to boot from disc iso image (it run spaces for F8 and eject disk for F12, they shortcut key run on my host OS :( ).

Then I read carefully the help menu that come with VMWare, and I found VMDK mounter  to mount our VMWare Guest OS images. It so easy, just goes to the folder ( ~/Document/Virtual Machine > right click on the Virtual Machine Images > VMDKMounter. )

OS X mounted my WinXP VMware Images and then I can completely backup my files/folder. Thanks VMWare :) .

I really want to have an apple hardware, included an iPhone, especially when Telkomsel (a big telecommunication company in Indonesia) going to release & distribute official iPhone from apple. I already reserved to buy an iPhone from Telkomsel and I believe on the next few days Telkomsel going to officially release it (because I already received an email from Telkomsel about that). Rumours said the price is IDR 4 million with IDR 375,000 month subscription for two years……hmmm.

On the other hands, I really want to learn piano because of the poison from the new GarageBand 09. I don’t have a piano nor keyboard and to learn piano I have to buy a piano or if a Piano it’s to much expensive (could by a new bikes for the cost spent) I think keyboard is fine. I’m thinking about MIDI controller with 88 keys and USB connection, because using MIDI controller I can connect the MIDI controller to computer and the MIDI controller can acts as a piano and as a controller for Digital Recording software such as GarageBand, Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo, etc.

If I have unlimited budget, sure I want to buy them all, but my budget is so limited , so which one will I get ? I tend to buy a MIDI controller, because I already have a Phone to communicate and I still don’t have a piano to using Piano Lessons from Garage Band. Postponed again to have my first apple hardware :(

I made mistake when setting Nokia Push Mail, I though it just setting on the Inbox mail message, but it not push mail it’s pull mail. So I write down the step I’ve done to install Nokia Push Mail on E71 incase on the future I made hard reset on my E71 :

1. Sign Up to Nokia Email from PC

2. Register the mail we’re going to push on our E71 (I’ve registered my yahoo and gmail account).

3.  Install Nokia Email by requesting to download link through SMS.

4. After received SMS on my E71, then I logout from Nokia Email on PC.

5. Download Nokia Email Application on my E71 from E71’s default browser and install it using the instruction.

Right now I’m using Nokia Push Mail for my yahoo and gmail account. Here are the screenshots :

But I don’t know where Nokia save my email, whether is on phone memory or memory card. I really want all the email saved on memory card, I’m still searching for push mail applications that can store the emails and attachment into the place we wanted, because usually I want to keep important email for future references/usage.

Perhaps E71 must add some additional row on its screen, so it can add many more icons on the screen. It’s better if E71 have accelerometer or touchscreen :P , we won’t call it Blackberry killer anymore. This E71 iphone looks like is using application call MyPhone.

I downloaded the piano lessons number 6 from direct links provides by paradoxon. After the download process complete , I click the package and run the garage band 09, but the new lesson won’t show up on the garage band. I check the folder /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/Basic Lessons/ , but there is no new downloaded file, where the lesson files goes ?

I remember the program called pacifist , the program can inspects the files contains on the package. I have pacifist 2.0.1 , and I inspect the package with it, but pacifist 2.0.1 can’t open it. I already hopeless, my downloaded lesson files become useless. Then I checked if there’s a new pacifist update, wow, currently the new version of pacifist 2.5.2. I downloaded the new pacifist , open the lesson package with it , and here what I’ve got :

Using Pacifist, I know where the lesson files goes, the lesson files goes to :

/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/tmp/Basic Lessons/

After move the file to folder : /Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Learn to Play/Basic Lessons/ , now GarageBand 09 can recognize the new lessons, so I’m planning to download the rest of the lessons tonight :)
